Excellent 1800’s Spanish Flintlock Pistol // "Pirate Gun"
Product Description
An excellent Spanish Flintlock Pistol dating from the mid 1800’s, converted from flintlock to a gorgeous multi-part cap mechanism, which still works wonderfully. The metal is excellent, with an engraved and inlayed barrel, dolphin-type hammer and nipple shield. The top of the barrel with gilded inscription “De Herraduras De Herraduras F.ADe Ynocencio Vidarte en Eibar (Spain) Ana de 1857. The .70 caliber octagonal barrel features scrolled foliate silver inlay and a fancy engraved breech. The walnut stock with finely checkered grip showing antique repair, and a tight fissure was restored. Metal is a pewter gray; tight and smooth action. With custom metal stand (entire display measures 12”L x 2”W x 7”H. This is an antique, and not warranted safe to shoot without restoration and the aid of a skilled professional.
