Product Description
A wonderful ancient Roman bronze knife handle dating from the circa. 2nd century AD, in the form of a boar’s head. Finely-etched detail overall, running down the length of the rectangular-profile body to the terminal where the original iron blade would have been affixed (blade lost to history). Traces of the blade still visible. Choice olive-green patina, with much original detail remaining. L: 2.375”. With custom metal base (entire display measures 2.375” x 2.125”).
