Black Plague! From the time of the Black Death, c. 1340-1360 AD. Silver "Heller" coin, struck in Hall, Germany. Hand with palm forward / Cross with arms ending in pellets, all within circular border. ref: Saurma 1364 for type. Encapsulated and certified Extremely Fine by NGC! This striking Heller of Hall coin depicts an open hand, a distinctly Jewish symbol, as well as a crisp cross, a distinctly Christian one. Very interesting piece of history! Coin diameter 17mm, archival slab measures 3.125" x 2.125" x 0.375”.
