1934 STAR $ 50 Federal Reserve ERROR # 714*

BEING OFFERED TODAY IN AN EXTREMLY RARE, AND I DO MEAN RARE ERROR NOTE $ 50 FEDERAL RESERVE STAR NOTE! THIS NOTE IS FROM THE PHILADELPHIA FEDERAL RESERVE BANK.

THE NOTE IS MIS-PRINTED ON THE LEFT BOTTOM SIDE OF THE NOTE. THE NOTE HAS A “GATEFOLD” ON THE LEFT BOTTOM AS WELL. THIS HAPPENS WHEN PART OF THE NOTE GETS FOLDED OVER. THE NOTE ALSO HAD SOMETHING PRVENT THE COMPLETE PRINTING ABOVE THE GATEFOLD. SO NOW THIS NOTE HAS 3 ERRORS ON IT!! (see pics)

ONLY 1% OF NOTES PRINTED BY THE BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING (BEP) ARE ERROR NOTES. OF THAT ONLY 1% ARE PUT INTO CIRCULATION BECAUSE THE QUALITY CONTROL DOESN’T CATCH THEM. OF THAT, ONLY 1% ARE ACTUALLY RECOGNIZED BY THE PUBLIC.

On the bottom left corner of the note, you can see that something prevented the complete printing. But on the gatefold portion of the note, you can see a partial printing of what the bottom corner of the note should have.

If you factor in the fact that it is a STAR NOTE and has 2 errors on it, this really is an exciting note to see on the market. Very few of these escaped the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP)!!

This note is from the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank which is designated by the “C” on the left side of the note (see pics).

The note carries a dark green seal (DGS) on the right side of the note. This note is virtually impossible to find in this condition. An ERROR NOTE like this rarely comes up for sale, so here is your opportunity to obtain one for your collection or investment portfolio!!!
