Riedel created the Vinum series in 1986 with specific designs that accentuated the characteristics of a grape varietal. Vinum was not developed on a drawing board, but in tasting workshops based on the performance commands the shape to deliver superior performance. Vinum is executed in lead-free crystal, which is machine blown in Bavaria, Germany to meet the same quality and clarity as of Riedel's glassware.

The Pinot Noir glass is perfect for light-bodied red wines with high acidity and moderate tannin. This glass highlights the rich fruit-forward characters and tempers the high acidity of the wine. The tulip-shaped bowl captures all the nuances of the wine's aroma.
